How much does this cost? The PADI Open Water Diver eLearning Course online is paid by credit card to PADI. The fees cover your knowledge development training and gives you unlimited access to an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual (course textbook). Excellent Adventures Scuba charges a fee of $590 (US) for the in-water portion of your certification. This fee covers all of your pool sessions, rental equipment, dives and certification card.
eLearning will challenge you to master (and, through testing, demonstrate) course material. Through lessons and evaluations, you will deal with the information in eLearning much the same way you would with the traditional dive courses (taught with a workbook). As with traditional classroom dive instruction, passing scores on quizzes and tests will be required to complete the current eLearning program. The courses are not without a little bit of fun, though, too--the multimedia content helps to keep things lively and interesting.
Other equipment requirements: Regardless of the option you choose - you will need your own mask, snorkel and fins. We will give you guidance and introduce you to a local dive shop and get you a great deal on some great gear! We want to make sure you have the perfect fit!
